Calm down, I killed the portal. I can fix that too. Your portal announcements come from one section only. If you have private announcements you don't want seen on your front page, I can simply redirect where it pulls announcements from.

Which section do you make public announcements in?

It's also likely that normal members couldn't see it, but I was in a hurry to turn it off lol.

Lol, believe me I know. Everyone was doing that on the other site when we installed it. You get used to it soon enough and you click on the "Star Forum Index" instead.

If you don't like the portal, we can look at other options.

Ok, to activate/deactivate a portal you go to admin panel, hosting system section and then mod center. Once there, you turn EZ PORTAL on.

Now, you can do two things to get around your announcements - I can set it to only display announcements from a public sub forum, or you can scrap the portal and place links, buttons and so on the main forum page.
