This movie makes no f*****g sense. I just sat through 2+ hours of it, and makes no sense.

There is like this floating fat guy with this disease, and there is like these sand worms on this desert planet. But half of the good guys are psychic, and everything is plated in gold. But then there is this substance called "the spice" and everybody is fighting over it. And then there is the bald guy from Star Trek. But the fat guy wants the desert planet, so he takes it over. But then the good guys, who mind you, are psychic, take over the sand worms.

LITERALLY, that's the whole f*****g movie.

Yes it was and it has the worst sfx. The book was better, and the movie made a 500 page book nto a 9 hour movie. seriously, I've seen the entire thing. Un edited. It does get better after the first 6 hours.

It wasn't so bad, Only a few hundred bags of popcorn were required to cure the pain it caused.

It could have been worse. Like that British movie "The Longest and Most Meaningless Movie Ever Made" coming in at a whopping 48 hours, it would hurt painfully.

To be fair, when the movie was released there was a booklet they gave you when you went to see that had a dictionary of sorts explaining key elements. The Sci-Fi remake was much better and much more recent with the effects. However watching both gives you an idea of the full story. :wink:
